A picture paints a thousand words. Modern medical imaging techniques produce an immense amount of data. Professor Williams research applies Machine Learning and AImethods to extract information from multiple sources that might be invisible on individual scans.

Michelle Williams MBChB BSc PhD MRCP FRCR FSCCT is Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging at the University of Edinburgh and Honorary Consultant Radiologist at NHS Lothian. She is Associate Director of the British Heart Foundation Data Science Centre, the Imaging theme lead, and holds other important positions. Her research centres around using machine learning and other advanced techniques for non-invasive imaging of the heart and blood vessels.
