At the heart of the new Perth Museum lies the Stone of Destiny, also known as the Stone of Scone. The Stone of Destiny is an ancient symbol of Scottish monarchy and kingdom, and an object of utmost importance to both Scotland and the UK.
Still used to crown kings and queens of the United Kingdom today – most recently King Charles III in May 2023 – the Stone has returned to its home in Perthshire for the first time in 700 years, and is now available to view for free.
Visitors will be taken on a 10-minute immersive, journey through the Stone’s long and mysterious history, before getting up close to the object itself.
Tickets will be released every Monday at 10am.They will be released in weekly batches, up to 14 days in advance of your visit.
Tickets are timed at 10-minute intervals. We recommend booking in advance to guarantee your spot. A limited number of tickets are also available to book in-person at the Museum on the day of your visit, on a first come, first served basis.
