Sip, Trip, Deceit

'Sip, Trip, Deceit' is the debut production from our UHI Perth student project company 'Create to Resonate', the production is an immersive theatrical performance set and performed in a night club. Our performance aims to highlight the dangers of spiking on a night out, as an audience you will experience the effects that spiking can have through the use of lighting sound and special effects. The production strongly involves audience interaction, flashing lights as well as including sensitive topics such as effects of drugs and implications of sexual assault.  

As the performance is interactive the majority of the performance will take place standing.

This production has been produced through discussion with Spike Aware UK, a charity with the goal of preventing the act of spiking and supporting victims.

The performance will be held at Club One, we at 'Create to Resonate'  are delighted to be collaborating with Club One and the team behind The Venue, Perth. They already demonstrate their commitment to a zero tolerant approach towards drugs and spiking and this was evidenced in their recent Festive safety campaign throughout December 2024.We all felt this project needed collaboration with a venue who we feel actively supports our messaging around this taboo subject and are grateful to Club One for their support in providing their surroundings and supporting our message more generally. Our team consider The Venue, Rainbow Rooms and Club One to be one of the safest places to go on a night out in Perth.  

It was a priority of ours to make sure that whatever location we chose for our project needed to support our messaging, be seen as a credible choice and we believe we have found that in Club One.
