Join our panel of inspirational young queer artists from Average Gallery in Perth, UK, who will discuss queerness and activism through the lens of their recent exchange project with young queer artists from the Freedom Project in Perth, Australia.
This collaboration between artists resulted in the creation of two incredible art pieces in the form of denim jackets embellished with unicorn-themed activism patches and badges. The artists will share their process, highlight their favourite patches, and demonstrate their courage to drive change through creativity and connection. These tangible expressions of solidarity not only signify the artists' dedication to driving societal change but also serve as reminders of the resilience and strength inherent in the queer community worldwide.
"Being queer is the best thing that ever happened to me." Jasper (they/them) Young Artist in Residence Average Gallery
