Access all 6 concerts of the Perth Chamber Music Society Concert Series for £75 (inc. £3 booking fee). This is a season not to be missed with some excellent talent showcased in our Fair City.
The Concerts:
Marmen Quartet - 22 October 2024: 19:30
With a growing reputation for vitality and intensity the Marmen Quartet has fast established itself as most impressive and engaging. Winners of First Prizes in many international string quartet competitions, their wide-ranging programme stretches from the 18th century to modern classics.
Quartetto Noûs - 3 November 2024: 15:00
Quartetto Noûs , formed in 2011, is famed for its enthralling performances: resulting from a professional training combining Italian tradition and varied influential European schools, having studied with the Hagen and Alban Berg Quartets. Noûs is from the Greek implying ‘mind’, ‘rationality’, ‘inspiration’ and ‘creativity’.
Armand Djikoloum and Iyad Sughayer - 2 December 2024: 19:30
The sound of the oboe entrances in the orchestra. Here it reveals itself in its own varied spotlight. Born in France, Armand has also studied in Germany. A prize-winner at the Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) International Auditions, he was nominated as a 2022 Rising Star Artist by Classic FM.
Piano Trio Isimsiz - 21 January 2025: 19:30
Formed in 2009 at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where they are now Fellows and prizewinners at Trondheim and Vienna, the Trio has performed widely in Europe. Further afield the they have undertaken tours in China and Argentina. To important well-loved works by Brahms and Schubert they add inspirational pieces by the ill-fated Lilli Boulanger.
Asaka String Quartet - 24 February 2025: 19:30
Hailing from China, Hong Kong and Scotland, the Asaka’s each bring with them their own identities. They pride themselves on communicating their enjoyment of making music together and sharing this with their audiences. 2023 Tunnell Trust Prizewinners, they formed at the Royal Academy of Music where they were 1st prize winners in the Wolfe Wolfinsohn String Quartet Competition.
Ensemble Renard - 10 March 2025: 19:30
Ensemble Renard was founded in 2018 by musicians and friends from the Guildhall School and the Royal Academy of Music where they won the Wind Chamber Music Prize. Their concert demonstrates the kaleidoscopic versatility of wind in great and rare repertoire.

Dedicated to St John the Baptist, St John's Kirk regularly plays host to professional ensembles within Scotland, Perth Chamber Music Society and a wealth of internationally renowned soloists.
