Part of the Dunkeld Living History Event.
Folklore has given Alexander “Dundonnachie” Robertson local legendary status. His role in the Dunkeld Bridge Toll Riots of 1868 was pivotal. But what was the man really like? In this practical workshop we will delve into the archives and explore the figure of Dundonnachie through a factual, local and dramatic lens. No prior knowledge is needed but be prepared to get creative on your feet!
This workshop will be led by actor Joe Arkley, who has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company and has appeared in The Capture and Wreck; and Tracy Irish, a teacher, theatre practitioner and scholar with a specialism in Shakespeare. Tracy and Joe both also work with the Royal Shakespeare Company as Associate Learning Practitioners.
