Plastic waste is driving a range of social and legislative changes. Some are positive, but many have unintended consequences including greenwashing, substitution by more damaging materials and a more diverse waste stream adding to the challenges faced by the recycling industry. Kevin's work is focussed on real-life solutions.

Kevin Ross initially graduated as a chemist and has worked across the scientific and the recycling industries throughout his career. He is currently the director of a number of companies including Impact Laboratories, Reventas, Cellmine and SCG and was one of the founders of Impact Recycling, he is also the immediate past President of the Scottish Plastic and Rubber Association. Kevin approaches recycling from a scientific perspective and views it as a resource, but has operational experience of running plants and the challenges of dealing with waste.
