For Real Bread Week, come along to learn about sourdough breadmaking at our ‘Flour to the People’ workshop!

Lyndsay Cochrane, Project Coordinator at Scotland The Bread, will teach the basics of breadmaking using their freshly milled, flavoursome, nutritious, and local flour.
As well as mixing, kneading, and shaping your own dough ready to take away and bake at home, you will have the chance to learn what makes these landrace grains so special and how, by baking with them, you can become part of a passionate movement for a better bread system!

What to bring:

A mixing bowl and tea towel

A loaf tin, baking tray, or small banneton (proving basket) to take your shaped dough away to be baked at home.

OR

A small tub or jar to take the sourdough starter away with you.

Aprons and all other equipment will be provided, and no experience is needed to take part.
